ProForm Physical Therapy Workshop
April 24, 2018
Come to a workshop with ProForm Physical Therapy where we will discuss and demonstrate proper Gluteal and Core Activation as well as review recovery techniques following activity.
Following our discussion, we will break up into 3 groups demonstrating Glute Activation, Core Activation/Stability, and Recovery Techniques. Each group will be 15 minutes in length. Following 15 minutes each group will switch so that everyone can experience all 3 sections. After everyone has completed all 3 sections, we will then open up some time for questions and answers that you may have.
Glute Activation: ProForm Physical Therapy will go through some simple biomechanical tests to screen for poor glute activation and then review strength exercises and techniques to get this group of muscles working properly.
Core Activation/Stability: ProForm Physical Therapy will educate you on the importance of postural restoration to more effectively activate your core. We will discuss diaphragm and ribcage mechanics to help asses proximal core stability and postural health.
Recovery Techniques: ProForm Physical Therapy will demonstrate proper recovery techniques including foam rolling and myofascial release techniques. We will also discuss other forms of recovery that we utilize in a physical therapy setting including the use of NormaTec, soft tissue mobilization tools and vibration therapy (Theragun) that aid in recovery between training sessions.
