Back bends are a great way to cultivate joy, increased energy and loving kindness. They help develop flexibility in the spine; strengthen the back muscles; improve digestion; and open the heart, chest and lungs. Back bends are an antidote to our daily activities that slouch our spine forward – which can be heavy physically & psychologically. Come learn to feel comfortable opening the front of the body. We will practice, use props and modifications and learn anatomy to safely approach: locust, up dog, dancer, camel, bow, wheel.
