A guided expedition up to the summit of Mt Barney is the ultimate challenge and is a class 5 track.
Enjoy the freedom and solitude of the World Heritage-listed Mt Barney National Park, and take advantage of our experience and local knowledge. When participating on this mountain expedition, you get to leave the tracks behind and explore some of the more challenging ridges and routes available. Interpretive information on plants, animals, history and geology of the area will contribute to this memorable experience.
This walk is both physically and mentally challenging, and is for the more adventurous.
We strongly reccommend that you stay overnight with Mt Barney Lodge as the hike commences at 5am sharp - camping, cabins and homesteads are able to be booked, subject to availability. (it's not a bad idea to stay on the afternoon of your return as well, as there is nothing better than regarding your efforts at sunset and relaxing after a huge day)
