Join fellow fundraisers, survivors, supporters, and your community for an inspirational evening walk* to celebrate life.
The inspiration behind bringing this incredible event to Redding is Bette Jean Sisney who passed away October 16, 2003 after fighting cancer three times before losing her battle. The Light The Night Walk is a beautiful way to keep loved one’s memories alive, bring hope to others who are still fighting this disease, and shine a light on the importance of finding a cure. Together, with the community, we will be literally lighting the night with hope. Kari Nunes has been putting this event on for many years to keep Bette's memory alive.
HOW IT WORKS:
REGISTER: Join as an individual, as a member of a community or corporate team, or even as a team captain. Whatever you choose, be sure to ask everyone you know to join, too.
RAISE MONEY: Raise money through your fundraising page, social media or the old fashioned way of asking friends and family to help. Check out our helpful hints to get started.
WALK: Light The Night with us! Celebrate with your family and friends at the walk. There will be raffle and silent auction prior to the Walk beginning.
Family, friends and co-workers gather together to celebrate, honor or remember those touched by cancer. Registration is free, but walkers are encouraged to raise funds to support the mission.
Survivors celebrate by carrying white lanterns, illuminating the darkness.
Supporters participate in the walk with their families and friends, in celebration of survivors and the strides we are making to find cures.
