Rutgers University Professor Gary Francione, who will lead the discussion with Anna Charlton, has been teaching animal rights theory and the law for over 25 years and has lectured on the topic at home and abroad. He is well known throughout the animal protection movement for his work and has authored various books and articles centered on animal rights theory. His most recent book, co-authored with Professor Anna Charlton, is Animal Rights: The Abolitionist Approach (2015).
Professor Francione is Board of Governors Distinguished Professor of Law and Nicholas deB. Katzenbach Scholar of Law and Philosophy at Rutgers University School of Law.
