Join us at Muse's Long Table for a wonderfully wacky, very special Sunday Salon high tea in celebration of the fabulous, finally-available-in-Australia anthology Mad Hatters and March Hares: New stories of Alice in Wonderland.

Food is central to the story of Alice in Wonderland, so join us as we explore the tarts, cakes, drinks, soup, mushrooms and more of Lewis Carroll’s world.

Come in your Wonderland finery and with your own beloved edition in hand to share your favourite aspects of this much-loved text, to recommend preferred analyses or fan-fiction, and join author Kaaron Warren (Eating the Alice Cake) and Robert Hood to chat about Alice, food and more.

Tickets: $48
Includes a selection of sweet and savoury high tea treats, glass of wine or soft drink, tea or coffee and a copy of 'Mad Hatters and March Hares: New Stories of Alice in Wonderland' (RRP$25).

Kaaron Warren is a Canberra-based author of horror, science fiction, and fantasy short stories and novels. She first read 'Alice in Wonderland' as a young, impressionable girl and the story has influenced her own work ever since. After five novels and six short story collections, she finally published a story in Carroll's world.

Author Robert Hood has long sought for Jabberwocks, Snarks, Slithy Toves and other creatures first brought to our attention by Lewis Carroll, but has so far only seen them from a distance. He remains optimistic, though is unsure whether or not their taste really warrants hunting them down. What if he accidentally caught a Boojum? Meanwhile he suspects that the mirror in his downstairs bathroom may lead to the main habitat of all these creatures, but has so far only managed to bump his head on the glass. So he keeps writing…just to pass the time.
