Estes Park Environmental Center (EPEC) is a 501c3 Nonprofit in Estes Park, Colorado. With headquarters situated right next to the Rocky Mountain National Park, EPEC designs and implements programs which develop conservation collaborations, collect management data for scientists and organizations as well as help students and adults becomes citizen scientists and stewards of our earth.
EPEC works closely with Rocky Mountain National Park maintaining a research permit gathering longitudinal data through a biological corridor. Additionally EPEC works with the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Program. A crucial conference hosted by EPEC brought together many national parks working towards compliance in the program. EPE staff members have attended important UNESCO MAB meetings in Europe and serve as a catalysts in the development of biosphere activities. Melinda Merrill, Executive Director of EPEC, will be here to talk about the EPEC programs and needs for stewardship in our society.
Science Happy Hour is designed for adults and features presentations from experts in various fields. Food and drinks are provided at each event. Science Happy Hour typically takes place on Wednesdays or Fridays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
