In a collaboration with the Danish string quartet Who Killed Bambi, Cecilie Sadolin invites you to an eclectic, energetic and visual musical experience when she showcases her debut album Pseudo Random with her band at the SPOT Festival 2018.
"The album Pseudo Random is a tribute to the abstract musical borderland". The words come from German music magazine Haiangriff while Bands of Tomorrow chose the album as most essential release of week 49.
December’17 Cecilie Sadolin released her debut album Pseudo Random through the Berlin label recordJet and sparked international attention. The album is a hybrid between a recognizable, traditional rhythmic music world and a twisted, dark and manipulated electronic world.
“Pseudo Random is a revolt against our constant focus on image and narrow boxes nowadays and a tribute to the raw musical expression that comes to life in the combination of various music genres, creative methodology and performance art. The title of the album refers to an algorithm which is programmed to generate random numbers”. (ceciliesadolin.com)
With a master’s degree in composition, music production and jazz vocals, Cecilie has a multifaceted musicality spanning over experimental pop, electronic music and orchestral contemporary music that draws connection to artist such as Bjørk and Massive attack. It's constantly moving and changing form.
The concert will be held Saturday the 12’th of May 17:00, at Klubscenen/Musikhuset Aarhus/DK.
