Hello fellow sound travellers!

It is great to learn something new! The benefits of sound are many (see below).

I am writing to share my news that I will be starting up another Weekly Day Soundbath on this Tuesday 10th April at 10.00 am. This will be held at Nambour Wellness Hub at 65 Currie Street Nambour on Level 1 (next door to Nambour Yoga centre). Judy and I have created a peaceful homely space we would love to share. Cost/Exchange is $20 with discounts available. Please book and let me know if you can come via text, email or a phone call to Lynn on 0417002690. If you can’t make it in the day I also hold a Night Soundbath on Monday nights at 6.30 pm and I have attached both flyers for you. I also offer 1-2-1 sessions which gives you a personal session tailored for you.

A Soundbath is a group experience whereby I play Himalayan Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Percussion instruments and my voice. This 'sonic massage' assists the system to balance itself by releasing the built-up energy that can create imbalance and unhealthy conditions. Sound Therapy is about retuning, therefore creating balance and allowing the body to find its own optimum vibration.

We all know when we have those days of resistance! Those days are when things become hectic and a simple task that normally takes us not much time can turn chaotic. When we are in resonance with our own vibration and the surroundings we have flowing days where our normal daily experiences are flowing and seem much easier. Sound can help us with staying in resonance and harmony and bringing us into flow with our surroundings. Sound played on or around the body using certain frequencies from such instruments as Harmony Bowls, Crystal bowls, The Voice and Percussion Instruments can be more powerful than you think. Ancient Civilisations have used sound many many years ago. Many cultures have continued to embrace music, rhythms and sound as part of their daily life. Why not bring back sound back into your life.

Just a little about how sound and how it can help…
Increased oxygen in the cells
Lowered blood pressure and heart rate
Increased lymphatic circulation
Increased levels of melatonin
Reduced levels of stress related hormones
Release of endorphins – self-created opiates that work as “natural pain relievers”.
Boosted production of interleukin-1, a protein associated with blood and planet production
Increased levels of nitric oxide (NO), a molecule associated with promotion of healing
Release of oxytocin, the “trust” hormone
As a result…
Calmer and clearer thinking
Allows you to feel less stress and anxiety
Assists with any stress-related illness
Assists the body to release blockages
Assists with the constant thinking in your head

I wish you well in your life endeavours.

All the best.
