10.00 – 10.30am Registration
10.30 – 12.00pm Session 1:
Pruning – Sponsored by Eclipse Enterprises
Attendees will receive a free Falket twin blade double cut pruner valued at $70
Speaker – Malcolm Lewis
Malcolm and the Lewis Nurseries have been involved with olives for around 20 years. They provide young trees for planting, and also manage and advise on established orchards. Malcolm has a wealth of knowledge on pruning and he will cover both the theory of why, and how, to prune, plus conduct a practical session in the orchard where participants can try out their new secateurs on established olive trees.
Format – ½ hour theory session in the marquee followed by practical session in the grove

12.00 – 1.30pm We have the biggest BBQ in SA. Pizza ovens, The Tank Bar. The motto for the day is “More than you can decently eat or drink”. Lunch & 3 glasses of wine is included in your entry fee.

1.30 – 3.30pm Session 2:
Doing the best for your olive trees
