Become a pinwheel partner and help us plant Pinwheels in Parks on Tuesday, April 3 at 2:30pm!
Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, Wake County Human Services, and Raleigh Police Department are recognizing Child Abuse Prevention Month this April!
Together, we will be planting nearly 3,000 pinwheels in 42 parks across Raleigh, NC. The pinwheel represents the great childhoods that all children deserve. Pinwheels for Prevention creates awareness of strategies and programs that are proven to prevent child abuse and neglect before they occur!
The public is invited to join us at the kickoff ceremony planting at Nash Square in downtown Raleigh at 1:30pm where we will plant 200 pinwheels. You do not need to register for this planting.
Then, volunteers are needed to register to help plant 200 pinwheels at the following parks:
• Laurel Hill Park, located at 3808 Edwards Mill Road
• Lake Lynn Park, located at 7921 Ray Road
• Marsh Creek Park, located at 3050 N New Hope Road
(Register here: https://www.cervistech.com/acts/console.php?console_id=0105&console_type=event_list&ht=1&event_id=966 )
