This special topic workshop is designed for county administrators and department heads with a focus on performance management.

Participants will cover three major areas: performance reviews, ongoing communication, and performance-improvement planning with the goal of developing a framework for establishing a system for managing employee performance.

Learning Outcomes

• Understand performance management
• Become comfortable addressing employee issues
• Understand the difference between performance appraisal and performance management
• Develop increased confidence and competence in handling human resource related matters
