Tai Chi and Qigong are based on traditions and experiences developed over thousands of years in China to promote health and wellbeing, and as a martial art. Today, simplified versions of Tai Chi and Qigong are making the practice accessible to the average person, as well as to people with chronic health conditions.
Moving Matters Tai Chi & Qigong is for beginners and is designed to promote integration of body systems, cultivate energy, active relaxation, and mindfulness, and decrease anxiety. It contributes to muscle strength, flexibility, and balance. Tai Chi and Qigong are sometimes called meditation in motion. It is done in standing or sitting and does not require special clothing or equipment.
