Bass & Lead Vocals
E.H. is a seventh-generation Texan, and he's not shy about letting you know. He learned to play bass by listening to thunderstorms, and his singin' comes from years of gargling Scotch whiskey. He's worn boots and jeans every day for the last twenty-six years.
Amber hails from the Great Plains, and brings great gobs of musical talent to the band. While not inventing new ways to make Dead Random even more badass, she can be found warping off to unknown galactic regions, defending the colonists of Ceti Prime from alien invasion, teaching Gorns how to read, or Great White fishing off the coast of South Africa.
His beard talks to him at night and, through forms of lucid/half-conscious dreams, gives him all the secrets to the world of drumming. He lives by himself out in the woods of Lockhart, Texas, where the howling of coyotes provides melodious accompaniment to the beats he lays down as the Texas thunder rolls through the Hill Country. And, like bolts of lightning, that drumming urge shoots down his arms and out through his hands to explode upon the drums, keeping Dead Random's rhythm going strong.
Jamey began playing pedal steel about 5 years ago after a painful breakup led him to seek out an instrument that made the saddest sounds he could find. Spurred on by a combination of persistence, guile, and utter cluelessness, he has found his way to Dead Random, whose songs he attempts to play while trying to recall where he left his keys. In this picture, we see the aftermath of a breakup between Jamey and a mermaid. Face it-it was never gonna work out. Between the age difference and the gills there was just no way.
