Have you ever wondered if local, pastured and organic meat is really worth the extra cost? Get the facts from those who know. A farmer from the SLO Farmers Co-op, a group of local, sustainable, and organic farms will talk about animal rearing practices, the cost of production and processing, and the protection of water-rich farmland through grazing. Carrie Taicher, a Registered Dietitian at Aurora BayCare, will address the nutrient differences in quality meat. SLO will also provide information on monthly meat box shares.

This workshop is FREE! Please RSVP by contacting alex@nwgreenbay.org or (920) 593-3708.

We ask that if you find value in the education and resources that we’re providing, you make a donation of any amount at the door to help us cover the cost of organizing it.
