Parenting is hard.
It’s easy to feel like you’re not doing a good enough job, worn out and defeated because no one else seems to have the struggles you do. Or, perhaps you’re frustrated because the ideal picture of what your family would be when you grew up looks anything but that “perfect” image?
Despite these tough feelings (and so many more!), we are called to be a compelling presence, right there in our messy living rooms, crowded minivans and noisy dinner tables. Amongst the extracurricular activities, sick days, cell phone arguments and peer interactions…we are to be compelling for our kids.
But what does a “compelling presence” even look like, and is it a reality, with kids?
Mark your calendars and join us for our very first Compelling Parents Conference on Saturday, April 14th from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This year’s theme, “The Time is Now”, will help us focus on intentional parenting. We’ll have breakout sessions on parenting sons and daughters, helping children cope with loss and grief, and the unique challenges of being a military family.
The Compelling Parents Conference is a day for you to engage in practical teaching and talk with other parents just like you! Invite your parent friends! Lunch and childcare are provided for all registered.
To register for the conference, please visit the Information Center on Sundays or register online anytime! Looking forward to having you here with us! The time is now.
