Learn to sew, learn about your machine, and take home a bag!!
This is a 3 hour class, where you will learn the basics of sewing, threading, basic sewing techniques and stiches - and end in making a simple tote bag, which is yours to keep!
We will also cover some basic fabric information, which you will be able to use for future projects.
One metre of fabric is required, although we have some light upholstery that you have have the opportunity to use. Feel free to bring along any material you would like to make a simple shoulder bag out of!
The class will be held at the Second Stitch studio in Melbourne, A Refugee/Asylum Seeker run textiles enterprise that operates out of New Futures Creative in Coburg. The session will be facilitated by Neroli, who works as Dandy N, a feelance seamstress, maker and doer - with extra help from the fabulous Second Stitch seamstresses.
