When is the Peace Run & Harmony Half Marathon?
Saturday, May 19th, 2018 in historic New Harmony, Indiana.
Wait? Isn’t this River Run weekend?
Normally yes, but due to ongoing bridge construction, the River Run is on hiatus for a couple of years. We’re pleased to be able to bring you Peace Run & Harmony as its temporary substitute.
What is the distance of Peace Run & Harmony?
The primary distance is the Half Marathon. We’re also offering a 12K and a 5K. All are out-and-back routes starting and finishing in downtown New Harmony.
Can I drop down in distance on race day?
Yes, but there are no refunds for the difference in registration fees.
Where can I get a paper entry form?
Sorry, paper entry forms are not be offered at this time.
Why didn’t I get a registration confirmation? Why didn’t you answer my email?
It was probably rejected by your work/school email filters or is sitting your spam folder. Be sure to add peacerunharmony.com, riseupandrun.com, athlinks.com, and chronotrack.com to your safe senders list to ensure proper email delivery. Using a personal email address to register is often better than the more restrictive employer supplied email.
Will there be parking?
There should be ample street parking near the race site.
Can I walk The River Run?
Yes. But all participants must maintain a minimum pace in order to re-open Highway 41 and the bridge to traffic a timely manner. No one will be allowed to enter the bridge ramp after 9:15am.
Can I run with a stroller?
Can I run with earbuds/MP3 player?
Yes. But please be aware of your surroundings and follow the instructions of law enforcement personnel. This is especially important in the bridge section of the course.
Will there be finisher medals?
Yes. In addition to awards for all the top finishers, medals will be presented to each athlete that finishes the course.
Where/when in packet pickup?
Packet pickup will occur Friday, May 18th at Ultimate Fit.
Can I volunteer to help on race weekend?
Yes! We will need lots of energetic and hard-working volunteers to help during the race weekend on both the Evansville and Henderson sides of the river. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how you are able to assist.
