The Outdoor Adventure Program will be offering a kayak rescue clinic where participants will learn about kayaking safety, and avoiding injuries. Practice two-person and solo kayak rescue in the warm confines of a swimming pool. The class covers wet exits, assisted re-entry, re-entry using a paddle float and the fundamentals that will help you learn to Eskimo roll. Boats and all safety gear are provided.
No previous kayaking experience is necessary. All equipment will be provided, but participants are welcome to use their own gear if available. These programs utilize our sit-inside touring kayaks, and stress proper technique and safety.
This kayaking program is for paddlers aged twelve and up (12 to 16 must be accompanied by a paid adult).
