Yoga nidra is a guided meditation that is received lying down. Nidra is the sanskrit word for sleep and quite often people fall asleep during the meditation but there is a part of your brain that is still receiving the message. The meditations are usually about 45-50 minutes in length and are equivalent to 3-4 hours of deep sleep. Yoga Nidra is a very easily accessible form of meditation.
