The New York State Senate Undergraduate Session Assistants Program will be holding its annual Model Legislative Session (MLS) on April 20th!
Since their arrival in January, the Session Assistants have been preparing model bills based on their own original ideas for legislation. In two weeks, they will all be in the New York State Senate chamber to be Senators for a day, explaining their bills, debating their fellow "Senators," and voting on the model legislation that they have all introduced. Their ideas include a wide variety of topics, many of which are based on what is currently happening in New York State, so the debate is sure to be lively.
The Senate galleries will be open to the public to watch the Session Assistants on MLS day, so if you are a friend, family member, co-worker or just interested in our capstone event, please come an watch!
A link to the live video will also be posted on our Facebook page before the event for those who cannot attend but would still like to watch in real time.
