The Sacred Heart College Kapa Haka cultural group is travelling to Europe in April for a series of performances to acknowledge those Old Boys who were among the fallen in the Great War 1914-1918.
There will be 7 staff members attending with 51 students ranging from Year 9 to 13, plus 25 parents, some of whom are Old Boys as well.
The Teachers in Charge, Ben Christie and Ngawai Hooker, would like to extend a warm invitation to our Old Boys abroad to join them for a formal Powhiri at the New Zealand Embassy in London at 4.30pm on Saturday 7 April.
Straight after the Powhiri, Old Boys are invited to speak to the students for approximately 10 minutes to share their stories as New Zealanders living in London and abroad, and how they have been successful Kiwis living away from home.
The function ends with everyone moving to a licensed venue next to the New Zealand Embassy for drinks and food.
We hope you will be able to come and share this important event with our Sacred Heart College students, teachers, parents and Old Boys.
No cost to attend, buy your own. We look forward to seeing you there!
