Join us Sunday, April 8, from 2 to 5 p.m., as we celebrate the City of Newark's 260th birthday and mark the Newark History Museum's season opening.
We'll have children's activities, a car show, bluegrass music from The Feral Hats, a demonstration by the Newark Police Department, and a proclamation by Mayor Polly Sierer. Plus, be the first to see our new exhibits, including one celebrating the Newark Parks and Recreation Department's 50th anniversary, one showcasing the Newark Arts Alliance and one examining life in the 1920s. Food will be available for purchase.
Founders Day is free and fun for the whole family. Free parking is available at Lewis Park on Academy Street or on the side streets surrounding the museum. Limited handicapped parking will be available at the museum.
