Wuthering Heights is a 1970 film based on the classic Emily Brontë novel of the same name. Catherine (Anna Calder-Marshall) is the daughter of the lord of the manor who falls for the brooding stable boy Heathcliff (Timothy Dalton). As the two grow up, they spend endless days exploring the sprawling moors of Yorkshire, eventually discovering in each other a fiery, powerful love. When Heathcliff leaves to seek his fortune, he returns to find Catherine has married the local magistrate Edgar (Ian Ogilvy), and a violent fury consumes his soul. The film was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.
