Penny O’Connell, a lecturer with many entertaining stories, will enlighten us on the Presidency of John F. Kennedy. He inaugurated a program of progressive change for the country when he was sworn in as 35th President of the U.S. He had only 1025 days in which to translate his ideas into positive economic, social, and political change. Penny will turn the clock back to the New Frontier and look again at the events of the 1960s.
The Newtown Historical Society's monthly lectures are hosted at the C.H. Booth Library.
