we're super pumped to have one of our favorite american folk musicians, RALPH WHITE, back at the NL. he's a true original. hailing from Austin, TX, formerly of the Bad Livers, he plays traditional material and originals in a style that's all his own on a variety of more or less recognizable instruments including but not limited to fiddle, 5-string banjo, 6-string banjo (not the guitar kind), accordion, kalimba, and fretless guitar (seriously, do you know anyone rocking fretless guitar?).... DO NOT MISS!!!
Ralph White will be sandwiched between to seldom-seen local acts:
ELEPHANT MICAH (duo) - laid back folky project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joseph O'Connell (from Indiana, now based in Durham) will close out the evening. this will be in duo form alongside Matt O'Connell.
BLOOD JAR CREEPERS - semi-defunct spooky local "jug" band consisting of Zeke Graves, "Crowmeat" Bob Pense, Aaron Smithers, and Charlie Hearon will open up the evening with a mixture of traditional and original material.
