The value to a Small or Medium Sized business of hiring an apprentice might sometimes be overlooked or not clear. However, the economic benefits of hiring an apprentice in your company could be significant.
Manchester Metropolitan University is hosting a special event to help SMEs identify the key potential economic benefits to a business when hiring an apprentice which might include:
Bringing the right skills into you company and matching those skills needs with the apprenticeship training
Developing the skills of your existing staff
Diversification of your workforce to being new ideas and innovation
Increasing staff retention and reducing staff turnover
Financial assistance available (direct or indirect through tax incentives)
The event will consist of a panel discussion chaired by Jonathan Lawson, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Business & Public Engagement, with input from a number of businesses who have experienced a return on investment from hiring an apprentice. A number of apprentice training providers from across the Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network, including Man Met’s Degree Apprenticeship Team will be on hand with information of how you can work with them during networking during the event.
The event is funded through the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and is free to attend for any Small & Medium sized ENTERPRISE or training provider.
