Once again, past and present members of the summer- season acappella group the Hyannis Sound are reuniting for their 23rd annual weekend jaunt across New England, performing in Woodstock at the North Universalist Chapel Society on Saturday, April 7 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students (through age 18) and seniors - and will be available at the door only.
The Hyannis Sound is a seasonal vocal group based on Cape Cod. Woodstock native Townsend Belisle founded the band in 1994 with the vision of providing a unique summer job for college-aged performers. Since then, they've released a dozen albums and have spent their summers singing everywhere from in backyards to stadiums. Their ongoing repertoire runs the gamut from rock to folk to jazz to ballads. Alumni of the group (now entering its 23rd season) include writers, performers and producers of such TV shows as Glee!, The Sing-Off and the Pitch Perfect movies.
