Dag Shaw is an often-solo musician in the semi-acoustic American roots blues-grass un-tradition. Wandering within the USA (from Maine to Maui) since 2000, Diggy has played covers and originals with many combos and individuals, carving her craft with those experiences, accompanying with dobro, guitar, banjo, and vocals. Her influences have been mostly personal and unprescribable-- from rocks breaking under waves in certain coves to train tracks over desolate terrains, to ficus seeds falling on surfboards, to osmosis from exposure, to all music absorbed thus far. Born & raised in the woods in darkest New Hampshire, she, one day, shortly before the end of the twentieth century, emerged with a vengeance to stand in the sweet nectar rain of the world outside the pond. Cold weather drove her to points west and south, musically frequenting such natural habitats as New York City, Asheville, Johnson City, St. Louis, Dover, Denver, Tucson, Phoenix, Taos, Eugene, both Portlands, Spokane, Ashland, Caspar, Willits, Rainbow, Paia, several Springfields, Atlanta, Newmarket, Missoula, White Salmon, Nevada City, Arcata, Trinidad, San Francisco, Hana, Hood River. Have Gig, Will Travel! Albums: Cookie Hash, Lilikoist, PanFlash, Jar of Trails. Bands: Cosmic Timing and the Astral Vegan Orchestra; Mud Duck and the Lost Cause; The Feel Good Be Bad Family Revue.
