Join us on Sunday, April 8th at 2:00pm for the first talk in our Spring Speaker Series! George Neville will be discussing the surveying of the Richmond Military Settlement, which is now part of Goulbourn.

George is a past editor of OGS Families Magazine, as well as researcher, author and past president of the Ottawa Historical Society. He is also a direct descendant of Loyalist Daniel Shipman, the founder of Almonte. His presentation will discuss the survey of Richmond Township conducted by Joseph Fortune, whose family had settled in Point Fortune, Québec. Copies of George's recent publication on Loyalist Land Grants Along the Ottawa River will also be available for sale.
