Stop the Bleed is a National initiative to train as many people as possible to be able to save a life by controlling traumatic bleeding. It is a two hour class with a presentation and plenty of hands-on training in bleeding control techniques. Skills covered include direct pressure, pressure points, wound packing and tourniquet use. In addition, the use of trauma bandages and chest seals are covered. The goal of the class is for each person to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to handle bleeding emergencies.
