Good food can mean the difference between an amazing experience and a complete disaster. I am thrilled to be working with Beth Arnold and Gerry Saunders to offer this introduction to Outdoor Culinary Arts. Both are accomplished outdoor adventurers and educators. We will be using Dutch ovens, fry bakes, reflector ovens, fire, and stoves to create culinary delights. We will start the day by cooking breakfast; omelettes, biscuits, and cinnamon rolls are on the menu. After a break for brunch, we will begin our dinner creations. Dinner menu includes: chili, quesadillas, cornbread, and cookies. Dietary restrictions will be accomodated.
You will also have the opportunity to learn about a variety stoves. Leave No Trace principles for responsible backcountry fire use will be taught as well.
All are welcome. We do require that people under the age of 18 be accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds benefit the Sebasticook Regional Land Trust
