We all know attracting good members to our co-ops is a challenge and affects how our co-ops can thrive. How can your Membership Committee determine that an applicant will make a good member; and what criteria can they base their decisions on? In addition to meeting basic criteria like financial stability, applicants need to be interviewed - which is a challenge in itself.
This practical workshop, adapted from CHFBC, will introduce you to “behavioral-based interviewing”. Behavioral interviewing is a new way to help screen applicants as it uses the logic that how someone behaved in the past predicts how they will behave in the future as a member of your co-op. It will challenge the way you think about interviewing. You will create a set of behavioral based interview questions and have fun preparing for interviews.
Registration Deadline: April 3/18
