This workshop explores our relationship to daily stressors (e.g., work, home, school, etc.), the impact they have (e.g., physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual), and the ethical responsibilities of self-care faced by mental health clinicians. This workshop was designed to illuminate the various types of stress experienced by mental health providers, and to demystify the concepts and applications of “self-care”. Topics will include: stress management, work/life balance, vicarious stress, secondary trauma, counter-transference, compassion fatigue, and occupational burnout. These areas will be examined through the hands-on application of creative and expressive arts, offering practical exercises for mental health clinicians to apply to their personal self-care routines.

This workshop provides 6 CEUs which can be used to fulfill your state ethics requirements!
