The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 (Act No. 59 of 2008), required the Paper & Packaging Industry, the Electrical and Electronic Industry and the Lighting Industry to prepare and submit industry waste management plans for approval. Mr Thornton-Dibb will unpack the practicalities of complying with requirements to adopt and implement Industry Waste Management Plans. He will also speak to the legal considerations associated with Industry Waste Management Plans.
