August 8, 2012 The Town of Norton lost its first soldier since WWII. A small committee was formed to build a memorial to honor this soldier, MSG Gregory Trent. The park was partially completed in 2013 now we need to raise funds to maintain this beautiful park. The Norton Gold Star Committee has plans to add more stones to this park to honor all servicemen and women who have continued to protect this country during all the Middle East Conflicts. Funds are also being raised to maintain a scholarship fund that has been established for a Norton High School graduate in MSG Trent’s name.
