Community focused local artist in residence
Deadline: April 17th at 4pm AST.
Complementing our pre-professional summer residency and our airCRAFT career development residency program, the Craft LAIR supports artists with three years of independent professional practice who emphasize community engagement in their process. These eight to ten week, project-based residencies offer craft-artists a free, semi-private work/display space adjacent to our Mary E. Black Gallery. In exchange, artists are asked to make themselves available for a minimum of 4 hours per week for open studio/public interaction, and offer a craft-based public programming event at the centre (eg: presentation, workshop, demonstration etc.).
