Tao Leigh Goffe is an Assistant Professor / Faculty Fellow of Social and Cultural Analysis at NYU. In Fall of 2019, she will begin a joint appointment as Assistant Professor of Africana and Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Cornell University. Her interests include the intersections of diasporic cultures across the Americas through the lenses of food, photography, music and ghost cultures. She teaches classes on the intimacies of global Chinatowns, DJ sound systems, family photography, and postcolonial literature. This semester she is co-teaching NYU's Sanctuary course on migration and refuge. In her spare time, she enjoys attending technology roundtables at the Council on Foreign Relations.
