The Practice of Pedagogy is a one day, interdisciplinary symposium bringing together scholars from American Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Critical Indigenous Studies. The discussion will center pedagogical practice and knowledge work in social movements, decolonization, and resistance at the university level. Building on the questions raised by the 2017 American Studies Association conference, “Pedagogies of Dissent,” this symposium will explore the responsibilities of educators who are committed to political and social transformation.
