What’s it like to travel to the world's most extraordinary places?

Do you want to hear first-hand stories of adventure from some of the most well-travelled people?

Then come along to Listen Up: 'Adventure Travel Tales'! Hear from some fascinating speakers and travel the world in an evening.

Confirmed Speakers:

Charlie Walker
Charlie is a British adventurer who specialises in long distance, human-powered expeditions and has travelled by bicycle, foot, horse and dugout canoe. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a recipient of the Transglobe Expedition Trust 'Mad but Marvellous' grant. His work has featured in a range of publications including The Times, the Daily Express, Wanderlust, Travelmag, Travel Africa and Sidetracked magazine. He was named Travel Blogger of the Year in 2013 by the Association of Independent Tour Operators.

Miles Harrison
Miles works in leadership and organisation/governance development and is an independent meeting facilitator. He has particular expertise and experience in the not-for-profit and public sectors. He’s a keen fan of the outdoors (a key reason for moving to Scotland in 1998), and has climbed mountains in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Miles is Chair of Birds of Paradise Theatre company and on the board of Craft Scotland.

Elin Haf Davies
Elin has raised lots of money for charities that are close to her heart through her passion for adventure. She has rowed across both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans and then sailed across both the Pacific and the Atlantic. Spending a total of 204 days at sea. Formerly a children's nurse she went on to complete a BSc, MSc and PhD, and continues to work developing new medicines for ill children. She also uses her adventures as a platform to raise awareness about rare childhood disorders and the need to develop new drugs.
