Team members are exhorted to participate in this year's Trash Bash event at Oars and Paddles Park in the morning of Saturday April 7th (official start from Keep Brevard Beautiful is 8am).
I know this is a busy day for our team but Oars and Paddles is usually quick to clean up.
Also we would like to go to Pineda Landing that same morning to make sure the site is still clean (a touch up of sorts) before dragon boat camp begins.
If you are able to volunteer for the Trash Bash at Oars and Paddles on Saturday April 7th, please show up and if KBB has a table, sign up with them and remember to write SCDBC-Heart & Soul as your organization/team.
I will be at Oars and Paddles at 8am (https://goo.gl/maps/rWkpz9zhL4N2) but will leave for Pineda Landing at 10am (https://goo.gl/maps/HTWrW513AuR2). Your help is greatly appreciated.
We will have a limited amount of trash pickers, garden gloves and 5-gal buckets to use during clean up. If you can please remember to:
-- bring garden gloves (to use during trash pick-up)
-- wear clothes and shoes - that you don’t mind getting wet/dirty and are appropriate for the weather that day
-- don't forget your sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
-- we suggest you bring water (and snacks if you think you will get "hangry")
-- if you have your own "5-gal bucket" to use instead of trash bag please bring as well
-- if you have your own "trash pickers" bring as well
If you have a pick up truck, please join us at Pineda Landing so we can haul out all the trash.
This is a family oriented event and you may bring extra hands of any age (adult supervision required); any volunteers that are not members of SCDBC will need to sign a waiver.
