Our Cancer journeys: the road to recovery with complementary services
Presenters Pamela Moore and Lois Boynton
Come hear the stories of two women who are paying it forward to fellow cancer patients during their own cancer treatment.
In June 2017, Pamela was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and is currently going through treatment - surgery, chemo, radiation. Quickly Pamela found the cancer journey resources overwhelming which lead her to create a website and a Facebook personal blog page in hopes she can connect others in locating helpful resources. Along the way, she discovered Cornucopia Cancer Support Center and is thrilled to be working there.
In June 2011, Lois Boynton was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and went through treatment - chemo, double mastectomy, radiation and is currently in remission. Lois started volunteering at Cornucopia in 2002 and joined the board in 2010. She is the interim executive director of Cornucopia and is an associate professor at UNC-Chapel Hill in the School of Media and Journalism.
We hope you can join us and bring any resources you have discovered to share with the group
