Join two exemplary journalists for an evening of conversation that will take us to the Elwha River on the Olympic Peninsula and the Lower Snake River in Eastern Washington. Lynda Mapes of the Seattle Times and Rocky Barker of the Idaho Statesman will speak to their extensive work covering the salmon, dams, and people of these two river systems as well as the orca, bears, birds, bugs, and the whole chain of being that thrives on healthy salmon runs. Come for a night of conversation on how the lessons we have learned from recent dam removals can guide us toward a future where rivers run free and ecosystems are restored.
Food and drink will be available provided by Freemont Brewing and Benzinger Winery.
