We will begin with a brief discussion on the history and philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga, the 8-limbed path, followed by an accessible introduction to primary series. We will close with an introduction to mudra, pranayama, and shavasana to seal in the energy generated by this powerful practice. This class is open to all levels and all poses/sequences can be modified.
50% of proceeds from this class will go directly to the Earth Defenders on the front lines at Mattole Forest- a pristine, old-growth forest in Humboldt County currently under threat from the logging industry.
