Taking a breath is the first thing we do when we are born. It is also the first habit we form as breathing becomes autonomous--but breath can also be mindfully controlled. How we breathe can affect our emotions, energy levels, and ability to express ourselves.
This workshop will explore the many ways we breathe including a discussion of diaphragmatic breathing and dispel some of the confusion around the "correct" way to breathe. Restorative Exercises to improve breath and some yogic pranayama will be a part of the movement experience. Finally, we will explore how our modern lifestyle may affect our overall health and simple but profound ways to "catch our breath" as a culture.
Suitable for anyone who breathes--but especially for those with breathing difficulties. Embody your breath with a mindful approach to connect you to your life force!!
