Gli studenti del corso Body Archives, tenuto dal docente Dejan Atanackovic, durante il semestre accademico hanno affrontato i temi della rappresentazione del corpo umano, visitando le collezioni museali dell’Università di Firenze, in dialogo con gli esperti in varie discipline scientifiche. Lavorando sul tema dell’alterità, e con il tentativo di definire l’altro del nostro tempo, gli studenti hanno sviluppato progetti artistici che affrontano il tema dai vari punti di vista: rappresentazione museale, colonialismo, identità sessuale, bellezza, pelle, uniformità... I lavori includono video proiezioni, oggetti, installazioni, fotografie ed altro.

Over the course of the semester, the students in the Body Archives course, led by Dejan Atanackovic, have considered the theme of the representation of the human body, visiting the museum collections of the Università di Firenze, in dialogue with experts in various scientific disciplines. Working around the theme of 'otherness', and attempting to define the 'other' in our time, the students have developed artistic projects that approach the theme from various points of view: museum representation, colonialism, sexual identity, beauty, skin, uniformity...The works include video projection, objects, installation, photography as well as other media.
