A Movable Feast is an annual fundraising event for the benefit of Historic Albany Foundation, a non-profit membership organization incorporated in 1974 to promote the appreciation and preservation of Albany’s remarkable historic buildings and neighborhoods. The Foundation offers educational programs, provides technical assistance, leads advocacy efforts and operates the Architectural Parts Warehouse.
Historic Albany Foundation's "A Movable Feast" event is our largest and most- anticipated fundraiser of the year. The event raises money and awareness for Albany's unique and beautiful historic architecture. It is attended by approximately 200 guests.
This year’s event begins with a cocktail reception and hors d'oeuvres, held at The Opalka Gallery. Guests are randomly assigned to a historic host home somewhere in the city for a gourmet dinner and an intimate opportunity to meet others interested in Albany’s history and cultural resources. Attendees are unaware of their dinner location until the night of the event, which adds to the excitement and anticipation!
Following dinner, attendees return to The Opalka Gallery to enjoy coffee, dessert, and participate in both a gift raffle and a live auction to support the work of the organization to preserve the architectural heritage of Albany. All of the proceeds from the event support the mission and goals of Historic Albany Foundation, to promote the preservation and appreciation of the built environment. http://www.historic-albany.org/mf-tickets
