As part of Opportunities for Otsego’s effort to fight poverty, the agency is seeking community volunteers to serve as “Navigators”. Navigators agree to be trained in the Opportunity Community model and commit to sharing their contact information and to using their networks to assist Neighbors living in poverty to access resources and supports for moving and staying out of poverty. Navigators may be a community member, professional, or any person who has experienced poverty, but has been successful to move out.
Navigator training is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10th in Oneonta. Participants may choose either the 8:00AM – Noon training session or the 1:00PM - 5:00PM training session. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
For more information or to sign up as a Navigator, contact Autumn at 607.433.8005 or email@example.com.
Community members who cannot commit to becoming a Navigator but are interested in supporting this effort may visit www.ofoinc.org/wishlist for a list of needed items for the Opportunity Conference.
