Ride the Oregon Pacific Railroad every Saturday, through the scenic Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge and along the Willamette River's east shore. Train rides are approximately 45 minutes round and take riders between the Oregon Rail Heritage Center and Oaks Amusement Park.
Round trip fares are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under and free for children 2 and under. Payable upon boarding the train at the station and cash or credit card are accepted.
Train departs the Oregon Rail Heritage Center museum at 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm and 4:30pm...located at 2250 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR. Admission to the museum and parking is free. Access is also available via the Portland Street Car and the Trimet Max Orange Line.
Trains depart Oaks Amusement Park (station located directly across from main entrance) at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm....located at 7805 SE Oaks Park Way, Portland, OR. Oaks Park parking is free, but we encourage our riders to patronize the Amusement Park if at all possible.
Riders can board either station and deboard at the next station and reboard to ride a later train back at no extra cost.
Our train includes vintage passenger cars, cabooses and open air cars, all pulled by a historic 1950s diesel locomotive. Rides in the cab of the locomotive are available on a limited first come, first served basis for $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
