Since 9/11, policing has moved away from “community policing” and pivoted toward “intelligence-led policing.” As a result, we have seen the federal government snooping into our emails, unconstitutional spying on “suspect” communities such as the Black Lives Matter movement and other Activist. It is past time for the St. Louis community to have a say in how, or whether, we are being watched. And, to do so, we need to pass Board Bill 66.
